There's a role for you at The Castle Players

Are you fun-loving, sociable, industrious, a team-player, reliable, a first timer, an old hand, experienced, have no experience, over 16, would like to be part of a successful group? Then read on.

Why not audition for a role in a Castle Players production? Whether you are an existing member or are with us for the first time you will have an equal chance of a part. Our audition process is very informal.

A speaking role not for you? No problem; there are lots of non-speaking roles in our productions every year.

Practical experience is gained through our hands-on approach to large and small scale drama events, while our workshop and rehearsal processes are designed to provide you with the chance to develop theatre skills.

Develop your confidence by taking a speaking role in our winter touring productions, which are always hugely enjoyed by everyone who takes part. Taking part in a winter production may inspire you to join the larger summer production.

Would you prefer to be behind the scenes? Would you like to be a stage manager, make costumes, collect props, build sets, paint sets, help front of house, help out with sound and light, make cups of tea for everyone? The Castle Players is for you! We welcome anyone, whether they want to be involved in the production process from the start or work front of house for a night or two during the summer production.

If you would like more information about The Castle Players please contact us.

You should be over 16 to join.
If you are younger than 16 you can join our Youth Theatre The Turrets.
