 Dickon
November 2024

Elizabeth Macintosh's play set during the reign of Richard III,  Macintosh wrote Dickon as a revisionist drama, portraying Richard as the loyal and honourable man evident in contemporary accounts.

In two Acts, the play covers January 1483 (Edward IV’s last parliament) until the morning of the Battle of Bosworth Field, and portrays the declining days of Edward IV, the constitutional crisis which his premature death provokes, and Richard’s advocacy of justice which was a hallmark of his short reign.
